Construction was generally problem-free.  The only additions were pre-painted Eduard PE seat belts, engine ignition & IP dial wiring from fine copper wire, and brake lines using insulated electronic wiring.

Before painting, a fine-tipped drafting pen was used to draw on all the recessed panel lines and rivets.  This was sealed by 2 coats of Future which also served as primer for the paints to follow.  NMF and panel shading were done with Alclad II paints.  Decals of the plane flown by Major Glenn Eagleston, CO of the 353rd FS, 354th FG were kit-supplied.

To seal the decals and NMF, the entire model was lightly sprayed with Future.  A thinned mixture of Black & Burnt Umber oils was applied to the landing gears, supercharger vents & housing assembly, and wheel wells.  Exhaust & gun stains were painted using a thinned black & brown mixture.  Propeller blade chipping/scratches was dry-brushed with enamel paint.  Lastly, pigments mixed with alcohol, was applied on areas like the engine cowling and exhausts.
