HobbyBoss 1:35 T-37A Light Tank

Test Shots

Hobbyboss sent these test shots of an obscure, but commonly used Russian tankette. The T-37A was a design from the 1930's that saw wide front-line recce, communications and cavalry use from the opening shots of the Great Patriotic War all the way to 1944. From then until the end of the war, the T-37A was relegated to training and secondary garrison duty.

The kit consists of six (6)  sprues in typical Hobbyboss tan styrene, one (1) small sheet of PE and seven (7) brown styrene sprues for the delicate looking individual track links.

Rivet and panel detail are average but one really can't complain as this is a vehicle with simple surface detail in the actual sheet metal. The individual track links are a welcome addition as the T-37A's track sag would be difficult to pull off if rubber track lengths were supplied.

The T-37A represents another niche release for the Hobbyboss brand, albeit one that will be surely welcomed by the 4BO green fans.

Happy Modeling!
